What's new in Kords
Updated 12 October 2026
Every Kords update, newest first. Kords updates itself, and you can check any time from the Kords menu.
1.0.3 · 12 October 2026
- A new app icon: Kordy's face, in his own orange, on a midnight-navy tile.
1.0.2 · 12 October 2026
- The sign-in code is now six clear boxes that fill as you type.
- If a different account signs in on a Mac that has another account's history, Kords asks once whether to keep it or start fresh. The new account's Collection always starts clean.
- Safer typing: Kords only pastes if the app you were writing in is still in front, cleans stray control characters, never presses Return in a terminal, and turns line breaks into spaces there.
- Dictated text is marked so clipboard managers that respect it do not keep it, and Kords no longer overwrites something you copied in the meantime.
- Updates are checked against their signature before they are opened.
1.0.1 · 12 October 2026
- Settings redesigned with a sidebar, one section at a time.
- A Manage subscription button for changing plan, updating your card or cancelling.
- If Writing stalls, press your shortcut to cancel it. Cloud dictation also gives up sooner and carries on on-device.
1.0 · October 2026
- The first public release: hold to talk in any app, double-tap to lock on hands-free, on-device dictation and optional Cloud accuracy.
- Voices, a personal dictionary, translation into Spanish, French and German, and the Kordies Collection.
